6 Days Thailand Odyssey


Day 1 Bangkok - Ayutthaya - Lopburi - Sakaekrang River - Uthai Thani ( Lunch )

Depart Bangkok in the morning and drive to Ayutthaya. Our first stop is at Bang Pa In, the former summer residence of the Kings of Ayutthaya built in the 18th century. There we'll visit the Royal Palace, the Thai pavillion, the Chinese-style Palace Vihat Chamrun with their trimmed bushes in elephant shapes. Continue to Ayutthaya, which used to be the capital of Siam from 1350 to 1767 and visit the most interesting temples of Wat Yai Chai Mongkol and Wat Phra Srisanpetch. Proceed to Lopburi, visiting Phra Prang Sam Yod, a temple with three towers and impressive ornaments as well as the shrine of the Hindu Goddess Kali a the Siam Prakarn Temple. After lunch, drive to Singburi and visit Reclining Buddha. Then drive to Uthai Thani and visit Wat Thasung. Later in the afternoon travel on the Saekaekrung River in the rice barge " Khiri Nava". Visit of markets in Uthai Thani.

Day 2 Uthai Thani - Hub Patad - Kamphaengphet - Sukhothai (Breakfast / Lunch )

Breakfast at hotel. Journey on to Hub Patad Valley. Surrounded by old limestone mountains, the hidden forest of rare big palm trees, which seem to be from the time of " Jurassic Park" is waiting for the outside world to be explored. Lunch at a local restaurant, then continue to Kamphaengphet to visit a waterfall at Klonglan National Park. Then visit Wat Pra Kaew, a large royal temple where was used on important city events and had no monks in residence. Continue to Sukhothai, found in the 13th century,iterally means Dawn of Happiness. It was the first truly independent Thai Kingdom, which enjoyed a golden age under King Ramkamhaeng, credited with creating the Thai alphabet. The superb temples and monuments of this great city have been lovingly resorted in Sukhothai Historical Park, a UNESCO World Heritage Site and a must-see for all travellers.

Day 3 Sukhothai - Phitsanulok (Breakfast / Lunch )

Breakfast at hotel. Visit The Magnificent Historical Park of Sukhothai, see ruins of the Royal Palace and the Royal temples Wat Mahatat, Sukhothai's largest temple with a customary main stupa in lotus-bud shape and a ruined Buddha image hall. Then drive to visit some historical sites outside the old city wall including the temple Wat Sichum with a huge monumental stucco-over-brick Buddha image in the altitude of Subduing Mara called Phra Arcana. After lunch, visit Sri Satchanalai, the former sister town of Sukhothai for lunch and a visit to some of its most interesting temples and ruins. Continue to Phitsanuloke to visit Wat Mahathat which houses Thailand's most beautiful Buddha image "Phra Buddha Chinaraj", the large Sukhothai style bronze statue was cast in 1357 and now is highly respected by Thais countrywide.

Day 4 Phitsanulok - Suphanburi - Kanchanaburi (Breakfast / Lunch / - )


Breakfast at hotel. Drive to Kanchanaburi, on the way, stop at Suphanburi to visit Wat Pa Laelai and lunch at a local restaurant. Continue to Kanchanaburi to visit the Bridge over River Kwai and Allied War Cemetery.

Day 5 Kanachanburi - Erawan Waterfalls - River Kwai jungle Raft (Breakfast / Lunch / Dinner)


Breakfast at hotel. Visit to the Thailand - Burma Railway Centre Museum, then take a historic ride on Death Railway Train, passing lush forest. After lunch visit Erawan Waterfalls National Park, the site of the seven-tiered Erawan Waterfall, one of Thailands loveliest waterfalls. The second tier has a pool, which is ideal for swimming and is particularly picturesque. Later in the day, transfer to pier and take a long tail boat from the pier to get to the River Kwai Jungle Rafts, passing by unspoiled mountainous jungle scenery. Dinner, followed by a 45 minutes presentation of Mon dances.

Day 6 River Kwai - Bangkok (Breakfast / Lunch )

Breakfast at the Rafts. Check out and depart by long tail boat to pier. Continue drive to Sam Phran, Nakhon Pathom for lunch and visit elephant show and crocodile farm. Arrival Bangkok at 17:30hrs and return transfer to Bangkok.


Departure : Private tours on daily basis or Seat in coach (SIC)on Friday with minimum 2 persons
