Itinerary:

NOTE: Tour starts March 22 in Tokyo and ends April 2 in Kyoto/Osaka

Tokyo (4 Days)

Explore Tokyo like a local visiting Meiji Jingu Shinto shrine, Shinjuku Gyoen, Harajuku, Ginza, Nakameguro where the blooming cherry trees along both sides of the river, a day trip to Mt Fuji and Hakone and more.

Takayama (1 Day)

Take a bullet train to Takayama for a food tour, a half day walking tour and some free time to explore Takayama Old Town.

Kanazawa (2 Days)

Explore Kanazawa with your local guide, stroll Kenrokuen Garden, see where the Samurai families lived in the Edo period, see where Geishas still entertain their well off clients on a nightly basis and enjoy a traditional Japanese Tea Ceremony.

Kaga Onsen (1 Day)

Stay in a traditional Japanese-style room, where they are designed for you to enjoy a relaxed atmosphere in natural surroundings. Also, you can enjoy two types of baths. You will feel your fatigue melt away, as if you were in a secret hot spring in a forest, surrounded by the power of nature.

Kyoto (4 Days)

Spend the day in the foothills of Northern and Western Kyoto. You will visit Kinkaku-ji, a Zen temple also known as the Golden Pavilion. A short walk down the street is Ryoan-ji. This temple is its famous rock garden with its deceptively simple and clever arrangement of 15 stones. In Arashiyama, you will tour Tenryu-ji Zen temple with one of the finest gardens in Kyoto. You will exit the temple by the north gate which brings you right onto the famous verdant bamboo groves of Arashiyama. You will have free time to explore the beautiful historic city of Kyoto on your own.
